Guild Members Accompany Students on Italy Concert Tour and Pilgrimage

Fathers' Guild members in Sorrento, Italy

On February 13, 2025, St. Anthony’s Choir and Orchestra embarked on the Sant’ Agata Concert Tour and Pilgrimage of Italy. The tour lasted 10 days, with 3 concerts at local venues throughout Sicily and southern Italy.

Father’s Guild members Carolos Silva, Paul Damato, Manooj Persad, Steve Castro (Technology Officer), and Jim Leslie (Treasurer) joined the Shadow Tour parent group, which travels in parallel with the students. The tour was expertly led by Don and Susan Corrao, who have been coordinating the Shadow Tour for 25 years, and counting.

The students performed a full concert for local audiences at Acireale, Rome, and Sorrento. They also performed during Masses in Taormina, Assisi, and a special private Mass at St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City followed by a procession through the Jubilee doors. Other exciting stops on the trip included Mt. Etna, Amalfi, Pompeii, and Naples. The Shadow Tour also had a brief layover in Munich, where they enjoyed a tour of the city and Bavarian lunch.

Once again, the Concert Tour and Pilgrimage proved to be an incredible trip for both the students and parents. More importantly, it was a spiritually fulfilling experience for all involved.
